After months of waiting, the Spy x Family tv anime is finally here. With the first episode released last week, many anime fans are now thrilled to see Spy X Family Episode 2!

So, for those of you who can’t wait to see Spy X Family Episode 2, Anime Troops has peaked all the details from the Spy X Family manga series.

Without spoiling the story too much for you, here is what you can expect from Spy X Family Episode 2.

Spy X Family Episode 1 Recap

The first episode of Spy X Family anime has been praised as one of the best pilots of recent anime releases.

In fact, the episode manages to set the full premise of the show, giving a flavor of 2 of the 3 main protagonists, and setting the tone for the narrative to follow.

The first scene of the episode gives us the background on the Westalis-Ostania situation, the core of the ongoing information war and the supremacy of spies in both territories.

The “Antagonist” of the story, Desmond, is introduced as a social recluse who only attends his son’s school events.

In order to approach him, Twilight must register a child, his own child, into the same school. This is “Operation Strix” which is also the title of Spy X Family Episode 1.

Twilight is already dating someone for a previous mission when we first meet him. So, he broke up with her after he collected information to use as blackmail.

For the new mission, Twilight becomes a psychiatrist named Loid Forger, and goes to a super shady-looking orphanage to adopt a child.

This is when Anya enters the story. She was experimented on as a child and was oppressed by an unknown facility until she escaped.

Anya tricked Loid into adopting her by reading his mind and giving him what he wishes.

Actually, she loves spy anime and when she found out Loid is a spy, she thinks it would be fantastic to live with him and go on adventures.

We then saw Anya getting kidnapped and Loid saving her, which helped strengthen the bond which had earlier been established only as a trick.

At the end of the episode, Loid realized that he is not really cut out to be a parent. Moreover, the second round of the school admission process at Eden Academy demands that both parents of the student must be present.

“Twilight” is assigned possibly his hardest mission yet, Operation Strix. As part of this mission, he needs to marry and have a child in order to get close to his target Donovan Desmond.

He ends up adopting Anya, a telepath, and marrying Yor, an assassin, however, all of them are hiding their identities from one another.

To complete his mission, “Twilight” needs to get Anya enrolled in the prestigious Eden Academy so that she can get close to his target’s son, Damian Desmond.

To do that, Anya will need to become an Imperial Scholar by earning 8 Stella Stars, but the real challenge for “Twilight” though is making sure she doesn’t get 8 Tonitrus Bolts and get expelled!
