Top 5 Best Anime to Watch for New Weeb!

Top 5 Best Anime to Watch for New Weeb!

Hello everyone! my name is Mannou-Sama and today I am gonna be talking about the best anime to watch for new weeb.

But how can someone be a weeb if he or she hasn’t really watched that much anime? Well, as long as you enjoy at least one anime with a passion you get the weeb pass! 😜

This guide is just to help you get further and further down the weeb hole, just don’t go too far down it or else you’ll become a weeaboo! If you become a weeaboo it’s not my fault okay! 😜

best anime to watch for new weeb: Long-Running Shounen Anime

So, you’re a new weeb and you want to watch some anime, to be able to interact with other weebs and to make anime memes, right?

First, you gotta get some experience and a great way to start is by doing what I call the “Shounen sampler”.

Basically, you know all those 300+ episode-long anime series with lots of action and teens with superpowers! Well, watch them all now! :p

You don’t have to watch every single episode. In fact, I recommend something else. Just watch the first couple of episodes of each major series like Naruto, One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, Boku no Hero Academia, Black Clover, Bleach, etc.

You know, just get a feel for them. If one especially catches your interest then, by all means, keep watching, but even if you only watch the first couple of episodes of each one, you’ll gain more understanding of the weeb community.

I am sure you’ve heard of sword art online, right? it’s kind of a controversial Isekai anime that some people love and some people really hate.

Personally, I believe the best way to watch it is to watch season one all the way up to episode 14, and then just end it there like that is the end of sword art online.

It’s just my opinion! If you like the rest of it, that’s cool, but I do think if you’re a new weeb you should at least give the first 14 episodes a try.

Best anime to watch for new weeb: The Weeb Classics

best anime to watch for new weeb

Now, these anime to watch for new weeb that I am about to recommend are the weeb classics.

Let’s start with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I can’t express how much I love this anime especially because there’s no filler.

All 64 episodes have meaning to them, and the ending of the story, let me tell you the ending is one of the most satisfying endings I have ever seen in anime world!

A story about two brothers trying to get their original bodies back after a failed transmutation. You have to watch this if you haven’t already!

The next classic is Death Note. I mean it’s a kind of a staple for every anime fan. I don’t like doing gatekeeping, but if you call yourself a weeb and you haven’t seen Death Note then, there’s something wrong with you!

It’s about a high school boy who finds a notebook that lets him kill whoever he wants just by writing their names in. It sounds interesting, right?

the next classic is Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan). You should, at least, watch the first season. Attack on titan is iconic, it’s like the greatest fears of all humanity in anime form.

I wouldn’t recommend this to younger viewers due to the intense violence, but if you’re old enough, definitely check it out. There are so many epic moments and the constant psychological interactions are amazing.

Okay, so those were classic beginner anime that every weeb should watch.

Best anime to watch for new weeb: Cultured anime

Now, here are some more cultured anime shows. Once you watch these anime, you’re on another floor down the weeb hole, and let me tell you there is no turning back from here!

Let’s start with Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!. This is basically “weeb the anime” or more like “role player the anime”!

Takanashi Rikka is not a normal girl. She lives in her own imaginary reality, convincing herself she has magic powers. She even opened the door of the subway all by herself! 😁

Togashi Yuuta is used to be a drama freak like her, but now he’s grown up! Yet, he still can’t help but feel attracted to her and yes, it’s a beautiful romance.

If you relate to this anime that’s a good sign because it means the weeb power is within you, but it also means you’re more of a degenerate! 😁

The next anime is K-On!. Why would I want to watch a group of girls hang out in a club while eating snacks and playing music?

I don’t know, but I do and you will too when you give it a try. K-On! is so weird because you wouldn’t think it would be entertaining, but it really is. You love every character, and it just makes you happy for some reason.

This is like one of those wholesome anime that if you’re depressed just gotta put an episode, and you’ll instantly be feeling wholesome!

Best anime to watch for new weeb: Honorable mentions

The last two honorable mentions of best anime to watch for new weeb I have are Toradora and Love is War. Both anime are about funny romances, and they are good to start with.

Toradora is about a short high school girl and a weird-looking guy’s relationship, and Love is war is about what the title says “love is war”! These two teens both like each other, but they’re too prideful to confess so, they’re waiting for the other one to confess.

Best anime to watch for new weeb: Movies from Studio Ghibli

best anime to watch for new weeb

So, those were the best anime to watch for new weeb that I consider essentials but what about movies? There are the classic studio Ghibli movies. You must watch them, all of them because they truly are masterpieces.

Spirited Away, Mononoke Hime, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Hotaru no Haka are a must-watch! Watch them if you want to see true art.

And then, there’s a Silent Voice and Kimi no Na wa. They aren’t from Studio Ghibli, but I consider them to be just as good.

those are all great anime to watch for new weeb and you should definitely check them out. You don’t have to just watch these anime!

I mean just watch whatever you are interested in, that’s the most natural way to get into anime world. Watch what keeps you interested, and once you’re done watching these series you really should watch Steins;Gate.

the only reason I didn’t recommend steins;gate earlier is because I feel like steins;gate is an even better experience when you’ve watched a few anime already.

I hope you enjoyed this post! What is your first anime? comment down below. 😉
